Hygiene
Children are required to wash their hands before they enter the facility, as well as before and after meals.
Being aware of the unique possibility to influence and promote children’s experience with their health and discovery of ways to improve it, the ECEF is committed to establish daily routines and procedures to remain safe and avoid injury; and to experience and attain basic concepts, attitudes and skills about safety and hygiene.
Children are required to have a set of spare clothes within their baggies, so they are able to change in the case of bodily fluid accidents or blood spills.
A bathtub within the ECEF allows for showering in any cases of bodily fuild accidents and offers the opportunity for enrolled children of the Seroja community to take a shower, in case water resources are unavailable.
